This week, the Ethio-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) visited several businesses in the United States that recently became members, including Cyber-Spring Cyber Security and Cloud Computing Training Center, Lucky Travel Services, Amazon Consulting, and Amen Graphics and Printing. The EACC's primary mission is to promote the growth and development of Ethio-American businesses in the United States. During the visits to these new member businesses, the EACC team learned about each company's unique products and services and discussed ways in which the chamber could support their growth and expansion. The EACC recognizes the importance of providing resources and support to its members, particularly during the current economic climate. One of the businesses visited by the EACC was Cyber-Spring Cyber Security and Cloud Computing Training Center., This business provides training and certification courses in cybersecurity and cloud computing. The partnered owner, Ato Solomon, shared the inspiring story of how a team of experienced individuals partnered together to help the Ethiopian community, especially recent immigrants, seeking to acquire new skills in technology and employment opportunities. Furthermore, he expressed their interest in expanding there training offerings to provide even more opportunities for the community. Another business that the EACC visited was Lucky Travel Services, a travel agency specializing in travel arrangements to and from Ethiopia. The agency's management team shared their commitment to providing quality service to their clients and the EACC team discussed how the chamber can connect them with potential partners and clients in Ethiopia. The EACC also visited Amazon Consulting which provides a wide range of services, including tax return preparation, airline tickets, citizenship and green card applications, passport renewals, and much more. During the visit, the management team expressed their interest in expanding their services to the Ethio-Americancommunity, and the EACC team provided valuable guidance on how to navigate the Ethiopian market and establish partnerships with local businesses. Finally, the EACC visited Amen Graphics and Printing, a company that provides graphic design and printing services to businesses. The company's management team shared their desire to expand their business operations and the EACC team discussed how the chamber could support their efforts by connecting them with potential clients and partners in the area. These visits made by the EACC to its newly joined member businesses demonstrate the chamber's unwavering commitment to supporting its members and promoting a robust economy for the present and future generations in the United States. Through providing valuable resources, expert guidance, and networking opportunities, the EACC is helping these businesses thrive and make significant contributions to the local economy. As the EACC continues to grow its membership, it will continue to remain committed to offering the essential support and resources required to help its members prosper in the dynamic and thriving Ethio-American business community.

A team of delegation led by Ethio American Chamber of Commerce meets its counterpart Addis Chamber to enhance partnership and harness the business and investment opportunities in Ethiopia and US.  The delegation is warmly welcomed by Mr. Shibeshi B/Mariam, Secretary General of Addis Chamber.   A team of delegation led by Ethio American Chamber of Commerce meets its counterpart Addis Chamber to enhance partnership and harness the business and investment opportunities in Ethiopia and US.  The delegation is warmly welcomed by Mr. Shibeshi B/Mariam, Secretary General of Addis Chamber. 
 In their discussion, the Secretary General highlighted about the historical journey of Addis Chamber that commences from the imperial regime to the current period further recounting its role to promote trade and investment in Ethiopia.  The Secretary General also briefed the team of Ethio American Chamber of Commerce concerning the different services provided by Addis Chamber that defends and protects the business interests of its members and private sector to thrive in Ethiopia.  While briefing the objective of the mission of the delegation, Mr.Elias Woldu, President of Ethio American Chamber of commerce and head of the delegation said that it intends to reinforce its network with Addis Chamber that embraces thousands of business members as well as to look for investment opportunities in Ethiopia by partnering with Addis Chamber.  “Partnership iscrucial for mutual benefit”, speaks Mr. Elias adding that it plays key role for facilitating trade and investment processes between the two countries.   In their discussion the team of Ethio American Chamber of Commerce expressed the need to share experience between the two chambers to serve the business communities in the respected countries. 
 The team of delegations also suggests for working in the areas of policy development and trade fairs. While reflecting on the raised issues the Secretary General of Addis Chamber recalls the establishment of Diaspora Investment Service at Addis Chamber to promote and share business information for potential diaspora businesses to invest in Ethiopia. 
 He also calls for the two chambers to exchange business delegates in the future to harness trade and investment opportunities between Ethiopia and US.  The two chambers also agreed to enhance partnership and collaboration to undertake joint Business and Investment Forum to promote trade and investment between the two countries in the future.  The joint partnership and collaboration of the two chambers is expected to reinvigorate the trade and investment ties of US and Ethiopia.

EACC board members had an audience with County Executive, Mr. Marc Elrich at the County Executive Building located at 101 Monroe St., Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the EACC to the County Executive, establish connection and an open channel of communication between the Executive’s office and the EACC. EACC board members expressed their gratitude to Mr. Elrich and his staff for their support in the past and their willingness to continue to support the Chamber. EACC board members brought a number of issues affecting the businesses on Fenton St. and Georgia Ave corridors. From access to trash containers to unauthorized, after hours, business transactions. Other matters discussed included EACC plans to host international business events such as trade shows inside Montgomery County and upcoming visit of Ethiopian delegation representing Montgomery’s sister city in Ethiopia.
